Haluk Karadağ, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Başkent University in Ankara, Türkiye. He previously served on the faculty of the Department of International Relations at the National Defense University. 

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Karadağ has held several prestigious international visiting research fellowships, including positions at the Department of Political Science at the University of Florida (2013–2014), the Faculty of Military Science at Stellenbosch University in South Africa (2015), and National Chengchi University in Taiwan (2023).

In addition to his academic achievements, he possesses extensive operational experience, having served in international peace operations including NATO missions in Kosovo (KFOR) and Afghanistan (Resolute Support Mission - RSM), as well as the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

His primary research interests encompass public diplomacy, soft power, security studies, and UN peacekeeping operations. Dr. Karadağ is the author of Public Diplomacy: A New Dimension in International Relations and has published numerous scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
